PUEBLO, Colo. -- Michelle Ambuul (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored 19 points for the second night in a row and Rachel Espinoza (So., Pueblo, Colo.) chipped in 17 points and seven assists to lead the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves past the Chadron State Eagles 83-66.  With the win, the women are now 8-1 overall, 2-0 in the RMAC and have equalled the longest winning streak in school history.

Rachel Espinoza - CSU Pueblo 2008-09 Sophomore

T-Wolves Point Guard finds her groove - GO Rachel!!

The zenith came Saturday at the Auraria Events Center in Denver when Espinoza knocked down two free throws with less than a second to play to give the ThunderWolves an 81-79 victory over highly-touted Quincy (Ill.) University, presenting the Pack the mythical Metro State Thanksgiving Classic championship.

Trailing 79-78 with just over 6 seconds to play, Espinoza went the length of the court and was fouled driving to the basket. She made the first free throw to tie the game before Quincy called time-out.

"During the time-out, I told Rachel, ‘they don't know who they are dealing with,’Ê" CSU-Pueblo head coach Kip Drown said. "We knew she was going to make the second free throw."

And she did, giving the Pack a signature win over an opponent that had ripped off six wins without a loss.

LINSDEY EGGLESTON:

Mendenhall led C-N with 18 points. Junior Ashley Kyle (Jefferson City, Tenn.) added 16, while senior Lindsey Eggleston (Buena Vista, Colo.) chipped in 15, including 4-of-4 from behind the arc.
