Paonia girls run table, off to next round of 2A play

Paonia 51, Delta 37     Jordyn Rienks - All Tournament MVP
The Lady Eagles began their run to a second straight Bank of the West Tournament title with its 14-point victory over Delta.

Paonia held a 12-5 lead after the first period and enjoyed a 27-13 lead at the half. Miscues and poor shooting by the Lady Panthers spelled disaster for Delta.

Paonia’s experienced post players, Jordyn Rienks and Brittani Venard, scored 27 points on shots inside as well as outside. Rienks finished with 15 markers while Venard netted 12. Johanna Reed was also a double-figure scorer for the Lady Eagles with 13 points.
